Belated post - we had another successful outing with newcomer Toby the other weekend in the BE100 at Lincolnshire Horse Trials. Although the weather wasn't the nicest, it remained dry and the ground was perfect. If you haven't been to this competition before, it is held at Lincolnshire Showground. We were joined again by Toby's owner Rosemary and her friends as we walked the course. Toby and I achieved a really pleasing dressage score, one of the highest in his class, which reflects the work we have been doing over the past few weeks. With a lot to look at for Toby in the show jumping ring we sadly did not achieve a clear round, but a clear cross country round still allowed us to finish in the Top 10 which is a fantastic result for Toby considering his experience. We ended the day with a glass of bubbles with Rosemary to celebrate another pleasing result. A few weeks ago, Toby had never experienced any of the eventing phases. We look forward to seeing him progress throughout the season.

Oasby Horse Trials March 2016
Our eventing season started on Sunday with a very foggy journey to Oasby. Luckily for us the sun burnt through as we arrived and it turned into a glorious day. Oasby is a great place to start the season and this time I was taking new comer Toby for his first eventing experience in the BE100. Toby has only been with us 3 weeks but we are very excited for his future at N.B.Equine. After walking the course walk with Toby's owner Rosemary, we geared up for the dressage. A very pleasing test from Toby, 33, and a clear SJ round left us in the top 10 before XC. This followed with a clear XC round moving us into 5th place where we finished the competition. A great result for the first event of the season and for Toby's first ever event. We ended the day with fizz and strawberries by the lorry before heading back to the yard. Looking forward to Lincolnshire Horse Trials on Saturday!
